# General Technical High School

**Deepen Your Expertise – Shape the Future**

The General Technical High School in the Lietz boarding school village of Haubinda
offers students a **direct path to a technical college entrance qualification**.
Our students can choose between the fields of Information Technology and Business/
Administration and benefit from a unique combination of theoretical knowledge and
practical experience.

## Practical learning—in the classroom and in the workplace

As a technical high school with a boarding program in Thuringia, we focus on closely
integrating classroom instruction with hands-on experience. Starting in 11th grade,
students complete **supervised internships** at selected companies. There, they 
gain valuable professional experience that brings the curriculum to life and helps
them navigate their future.

### Learning in small classes

To ensure that every student receives the best possible support, we place great 
emphasis on small classes with a maximum of 20 students. This allows us to provide**
individual support** and personalized guidance.

Social Learning in the Community

This is how young people develop their talents, learn to take responsibility, and
grow within a strong community.

### Transition from secondary school

A unique feature of the Lietz Boarding School Village in Haubinda: Thanks to our
on-site public school, students can make a seamless transition after completing 
their secondary education. Familiar surroundings—new challenges.

**The requirements are as follows:**

Completed and passed the Middle School Diploma in 10th grade

Letter of Application to the Upper School Administration

Taking a second foreign language in 11th or 12th grade

In this way, Haubinda provides a direct path to the University of Applied Sciences
Qualification **within the school community**.

### Living and Learning in Community

Our technical high school is located within the Haubinda boarding school village—
a unique place to learn and live, surrounded by nature. Here, the students experience:

Democracy in the School State, with an election for chancellor and a student court

Over 50 clubs to choose from—ranging from sports to the arts to technology

Sustainability in everyday life through agriculture, animal husbandry, and environmental
projects

This helps students develop not only academic **skills** but also** social and personal
