Working with your hands in the boarding school village

In a village community, there are various repair works that need to be done regularly. It could be a wooden board that has to be sawn, a shelf that has to be put up, or a bench that needs a fresh coat of paint: In Haubinda, our students participate energetically.

Expanding the skills of using one's hands

The school's own carpentry shop provides the best conditions to consolidate the handcraft skills of the children and youth - because this involves learning to work with wood and to operate the machines.

Furthermore, students have the option to select, from a comprehensive offering of craftsmanship oriented extracurricular activities, the activity that suits them. This includes turning, woodworking, painting work, metalworking, repairs, welding and carpentry.
