Nutrition & Health
Fresh, local, and well-stocked
For us, a balanced diet and reliable medical care are an integral part of daily life at the Lietz Boarding School in Haubinda. We want children and teenagers to not only feel at home here, but also to learn how important a healthy lifestyle is for their future.
Healthy Eating at Boarding School
At Haubinda, the best ingredients come straight from our own production: fruit from the orchards, vegetables from the garden, honey from the school’s own apiary, and juice from our own harvest. This allows the students to experience the entire journey from field to plate—a sustainable approach that combines knowledge, responsibility, and enjoyment.
What makes our boarding school’s nutrition program special:
The result is a menu that not only tastes good but also has educational value.
The “Meet & Eat” cafeteria
At the heart of our food service is our cafeteria. Here, the kitchen team prepares fresh meals every day that are varied, healthy, and kid-friendly. International cuisine brings variety to the table, while regional products ensure quality and sustainability.
Medical Care – Always in Good Hands
Of course, things don’t always go smoothly: a cold, a sports injury, or an insect bite are all part of life. In these cases, our on-site nurse makes sure the children receive immediate care—whether it’s a bandage, a blood pressure check, or simply a few reassuring words.
In addition:
This way, parents can be sure that their children receive the best possible medical care as part of their daily life at the boarding school.

A Healthy Daily Routine at the Boarding School Village
For us, nutrition and health go hand in hand: regional products, cooking together, outdoor activities, and community life, along with reliable medical care—all of this makes the Lietz Boarding School in Haubinda a place where children and teenagers can grow up healthy.
