Experience boarding school life up close

Trial Stay at the Boarding School Village

What is it like to live at a boarding school? If you’ve only ever attended a day school, it might be hard to imagine what life at a boarding school is really like. That’s why we offer interested students the opportunity to try out boarding school life—a real glimpse into our daily routine at the Lietz Boarding School Village in Haubinda.

Getting to know daily life and the community

During the trial stay, young guests get a taste of what life at the boarding school is really like:

Morning classes in small groups

Afternoon activities in guilds such as farming, carpentry, sports, or music

Eating together in the cafeteria

Evenings with the boarding school family, featuring leisure time, socializing, and traditions

This way, all your questions can be answered: What is the daily routine like? What are the rooms like? What is it like to be part of the community?

From breakfast to bedtime

Whether it’s breakfast, classes, extracurricular activities, or family evenings—during the trial stay, guests experience a full day at boarding school. Our students and staff are always available to answer any questions. Initial fears and uncertainties quickly fade away, and after their stay, many guests look forward even more to starting their life at boarding school.

Temporary student housing

During the trial stay, prospective students are housed in an actual student dorm room—often even with their future roommates. These students guide them through the daily routine, offer advice, and show them the unique features of the campus. This helps foster a sense of belonging in no time.
