Haubinda on Tour

On the Road with the Boarding School Village

Village life in Haubinda is colorful, lively, and full of variety. But we also want to open up the big, wide world to our students. That’s why we regularly go on “Haubinda on Tour.” Whether it’s a class trip, a family outing, or a themed excursion—we travel together to discover new things, broaden our horizons, and create unforgettable memories.

Escape the daily grind—embrace adventure

Throughout the school year, there are various field trips and excursions on the schedule. These include, for example:

Bike tours in the region that combine exercise, nature, and team spirit

Ski camps that emphasize sports, fun, and camaraderie

Choir outings and cultural trips that offer insights into art, music, and theater

City breaks and language trips that bring foreign languages to life and foster international encounters

Along the way, the young people not only get to know new places, but also learn to navigate unfamiliar situations, take on responsibility, and grow even closer as a group.

Share your experiences and preserve your memories

These experiences aren’t just cherished in our hearts; they’re also documented in collages, photos, or short videos. This way, those who stayed behind can share in the experience too. Often, these experiences spark new projects in the classroom or in the guilds—making learning even more engaging.

Geocaching with the Lietz Schools

A unique idea was conceived back in 2014: 12th-grade students developed their own geocaching project for all Lietz schools. Anyone who solves the challenges using a GPS device or smartphone app and has visited all three Lietz schools can even look forward to receiving their own Lietz geocoin. This combines a spirit of adventure with modern technology—perfectly in line with our educational philosophy of making learning exciting and hands-on.
